Princeton NJ is in fact three different entities. First there is the world famous Ivy League University, second there is the Borough or town of Princeton, and then there is Princeton Township.
Located in the Heart of NJ in Mercer County, Princeton is a wonderful mix of town living, suburban convenience and culture. It is about half way between New York City and Philadelphia, with easy access to the Northeast Corridor trains that go both places and beyond. The downtown area is filled with shops and interesting things to do. Palmer Square is the center of the town and is a pedestrian friendly place to spend time walking and window shopping, or just drinking in the sights of Princeton.
The Governor’s Mansion, Drumthwacket, is located along Rt. 206 in Princeton Township and is open for limited tours. The McCarter Theatre in downtown Princeton has year round theatre productions, and many University programs and sports events make Princeton a fun and interesting place to live.
The Princeton Battlefield State Park and many other historic sites in and around Princeton make for very interesting and educational day trips for the whole family.
Living in Princeton, whether in the Borough or the Township, is NJ living at its best. A great school system, many fine private schools such as Princeton Day School, Chapin School, The Hun School, Stuart Country Day School and more make for educational opportunities that are unequaled.
If you like shopping there are many places to spend your day. Besides the great downtown shopping in and around Palmer Square there is The Quakerbridge Mall, Princeton MarketFair, Princeton Forrestal Village and a host of open air malls and big box stores. The Flemington Outlet stores are a short drive away, and Franklin Mills Outlet Mall in PA is also close enough to make a great day trip.
Homes range from the mid $200k’s for a condo, to multi-million dollar estates with a wide variety of choices in life styles. Exclusive communities, “bohemian” areas, townhome communities and downtown apartments are just a sample of the variety available in Princeton. Plus Princeton is easy travel distance from Lamberville/New Hope and many other fun and interesting places to be.
