Bridgewater Township is located in the center of Somerset County. It is a nice mix of suburban life with convenience. Bridgewater has two Interstate Highways running through it, I-287 and I-78. In addition the NJ Transit Raritan Valley line runs through it, making it an easy place to get to or away from. NYC commuters will find it particularly convenient. Bridgewater also has a nice mix of residential, commercial and retail space which adds to its convenience and its lower property tax rate. The Bridgewater Commons Mall is a large enclosed mall that has a host of retail stores such as Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Brookstone, William Sonoma and more. A newly added outdoor mall called The Village at Bridgewater Commons has added stores such as Crate & Barrel, Brooks Brothers, Starbucks and more. The mall is surrounded by other retail stores such as Best Buy, Pier 1 and almost anything else you a think of. Flemington and all the outlet stores are also a short drive away.
There is a wide array of sporting activities available including The Somerset Patriots baseball, The Bridgewater Sports Arena which offers Laser Tag, Ice skating, Hockey and more, and a number of indoor sports playing and training facilities.
Homes range from around $150k for a one bedroom condo to multi-million dollar homes and a nice selection of everything in between.
Bridgewater is about an hour from NYC, less than 45 min to Newark Liberty Airport. The Township has Hillsborough, Montgomery, Princeton and Mercer County to the south, Branchburg and Hunterdon County to the west, Bernards, Bedminster and Morris County to the north and Green Brook, Piscataway and Middlesex County to the east.
Like most of central New Jersey Bridgewater has a good school system with all of the facilities and activities you would expect.
